Why won't my last ride upload to garmin connect via garmin express?

I just completed the installation of garmin express and I am trying to upload my last ride off my edge 705. After the sync process, I go to garmin connect and the specific ride is not there. I checked on the device's history and it is there still. So it is on my device but can not be uploaded to connect.

FWIW, I spoke with a Garmin tech and he handed me to a 'software guy' who basically said the link (upload) is broke, give them a few days. It sends you back to the page to download Garmin Express. Garmin Express seems to work for a friend of mine on the 'modern' page (not me) but I have had no luck, and I normally use 'manual upload'. The Software person did say that the 'upload' button should always work and when fixed should stay working........

I DID find a work around!!
I load my ride into Garmin Training center, and highlight and export to Garmin Connect, and my ride is there. If I just use Garmin Express, it says it synced but doesn't upload the ride..
I use a Mac with the newest of everything.

Another frustrated user here. Successfully downloaded a new bike route to my Edge 200 yesterday, but now unable to Upload data for analysis and record-keeping. GARMIN - DO YOU READ THESE FORUMS?! SORT IT OUT!!
  • My wife and I have both been having the same problem with our 310XT's. We try the following until one works. Incidentally, we've had to always get to the hard-reset before the problem is corrected.

    1) remove and replace the usb stick (not sure if 910 requires one)
    2) power the device off and then on again
    3) Add a new "dummy" activity by simply running the timer for a few seconds.
    4) soft reset the device
    5) set the device to "Transfer All" under the History settings.
    6) delete any old, unwanted activities from history on the device
    7) hard reset the device (factory reset) - thankfully, this seems to not delete history, but only personal preferences.
