I will never buy any of your devices again! First your website was changed upruptly without telling users about three months ago, then it became slower and slower. Now we have another change that is supports only Windows and Mac OS. What about linux? The Linux firefox plugin doesn't work and your new software doesn't even allow manual upload like before. Well done Garmin, you piss me off. You have good satellite watches but crappy software and website support. There are so many competitors for you now, you're simply shooting yourself in the foot.
As mentioned in this tread: https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?87232-Manual-Upload-Linux-User/page1 I will no longer be able to recommend Garmin units in good faith. I have plenty of friends who use Linux who can no longer upload their activities. What did you gain Garmin, by taking away manual upload, other than a significant number of upset customers. Upload is still hidden in the back end, supported by your uploader plugin, so there's no legitimate technical reason I can ascertain why you would do this. Please bring it back, there are customers who paid good money for devices, money that pays your salaries.... please put it back.
So true, what on earth does Garmin think to gain with the new software. Nowdays more and more is browser based (as Garmin Connect was up until two days ago) and easy to use independent of the OS used. This giant software bundle is a hurdle and a giant leap back in time. Be wise and reinstate the browser upload option as it was...
This is F-ed up. Seriously why can't you just leave some stuff alone OR allow users to opt out of new changes. I can no longer manual upload ride data. HELP!
