It appears that Garmin wanted to do an update to the manner in which the "Upload" function was accessed. Unfortunately, at least in my experience, they seemed to have screwed up what was a perfectly functioning feature before this supposed update. All I get now is a redirect to a page that informs me that I need to update my software and re-sync. Fine. I did that and, surprise; when I go back to the home page and go to "Upload", I once again get redirected to that same page. I'm curious as to whether this is something only I'm experiencing or a known issue. If the latter, does anyone have a solution to get past this nuisance?
Those that forget the past are condemned to repeat it, will garmin never learn. Pushing forward with something that isn't a finished article, removing a useful feature ( manual upload) , giving something that no one wanted (New style connect , Bing maps thought they might of learnt from that issue a couple of years ago) the new garmin express which seems to fall down every week. One wonders who garmin hired to do the new site work because its awful in look I'm guessing over budget and way beyond the deadline date to be up and running. Great watches truly dire bad web site. Bang some heads together.
same here.. was working all the way up until about 5pm tonight and then, no more uploading to garmin connect with my 510 wirelessly. its why i bought it. i can see this has been an ongoing issue for this product since january and there seems to be no effort at all from garmin. its as if they don't even pay attention to these forums. jesus, who's even working over there at garmin? is everyone gone riding and no one is interested in fixing major issues? this will result in money loss for garmin, and reputation loss. i'm so pissed right now i feel like throwing this thing out the window. but oh yea, they charged me $500 for it.
Can get the FIT file off the device (FR620) and upload to other sites, but it won't upload to Garmin Connect.
It sounds like you could possibly be affected by the multiple account problem. If, at some point, you were prompted to enter a new username, you may have inadvertently created a second account and associated your FR620 uploads with that account.
If you are using Garmin Express, select your device from the dropdown box on the left, click the Device button on the right, and then scroll down to the Garmin Connect Account section. Click the button and re-enter your Garmin Connect account credentials. Create a quick dummy activity, and try to upload it. If that activity appears in Garmin Connect then that was the problem.
Same problem here. Did a bluetooth sync from my F2 to the iOS connect software. It never showed up. Did an automatic Garmin Express sync, didn't show up, but it did auto sync to Training Peaks and Strava.
Any news on when this is going to get fixed? I have tried using Tapiriik to synch my Runkeeper data to Garmin Connect and there is a problem synching. I gather this is Garmin Connect issue.
I'll also join the fun, as of today i'm unable to sync my activities via Garmin express. I've re-installed express and the communicator plugin bit it seems to be stuck. The weird thing is that when i check which activities are a problem. Its an activity from 4 months ago (which was uploaded four months ago and already in my activities list) that gets the 'error' message and then it just stops and says i need to log in to be able to sync. So after logging in (which i already was before starting) it just gives a sync error with garmin connect. Looking at how long this issue seems to be going on. I seriously hope this can be fixed.
