Garmin Connect / Upload not working

It appears that Garmin wanted to do an update to the manner in which the "Upload" function was accessed. Unfortunately, at least in my experience, they seemed to have screwed up what was a perfectly functioning feature before this supposed update. All I get now is a redirect to a page that informs me that I need to update my software and re-sync. Fine. I did that and, surprise; when I go back to the home page and go to "Upload", I once again get redirected to that same page. I'm curious as to whether this is something only I'm experiencing or a known issue. If the latter, does anyone have a solution to get past this nuisance?
  • Yesterday did a 5hr+ bike ride, synced for the first time with express from a 310xt to a macbook pro 10.9.4

    Activity does not show up in my garmin online connect and Express has wiped it from my device.

    Tried to sync device to rubitracks and got errors:

    No activities have been imported.
    The data format in one or more of the imported files is unknown. These are the files that have not been imported:

    any one know where my data is and how I can access it?

    Yup, nice to at least confirm that all my work to get an FR 10 to upload new activities has been a waste of time.

    Garmin now utterly sucks. I have a 2006 305 and it is a wonderful watch and the software (on my Mac, not Connect) works beautifully.

    I have struggled for months to get Garmin 'Connect' (ha, what a joke that word is) to upload her latest run. The only way I can get it to upload a new run is by going and deleting 'modern' in the URL to 'old'.

    Astonishingly stupid software. Garmin is now a second tier company rapidly heading into oblivion. Quality in the watches or software? NO. Just cheap junk and poorly written, sloppy software.

    Will start exploring alternatives now. Garmin will be all junk everywhere soon.
  • If you have a question please ask it. If it's about Express please raise it in the Express forum where the Express team are very active. Most problems can be resolved if enough information is given. Connect Modern worked straight 'out of the box' for me once I was asked to update from Classic. Those having issues are generally doing something wrong. There is a help page here http://connect.garmin.com/en-US/help/how-to/ which should resolve most queries.

    What is going on here? How can so many of us have the same issue!
    Since this new update I cannot upload any new activities.

  • Instability sorted again it seems (for now). I managed to do a manual file upload this morning.

    However the 'Elevation correction' bug is still not resolved it seems. (To use elevation from device)

    Doing something wrong?! What an outrageous attitude! How can I be doing something wrong when what I do worked well until Garmin changed it? Really. Explain that to me.

    Connect Modern has not worked for me "straight out the box". I am prepared to believe I need to do something different now but tell me about it, tell me in the place where I need to see it, and tell me at the time when I need to see it.

    Don't lay a poorly executed rollout on the customers.
  • Are you running any sort of Adblocking add-ons with your browser? Someone else recently had a similar issue to yours with GC Modern and when they turned 'off' the Ad-blocking add-on, GC Modern worked for them.
