Garmin Connect / Upload not working

It appears that Garmin wanted to do an update to the manner in which the "Upload" function was accessed. Unfortunately, at least in my experience, they seemed to have screwed up what was a perfectly functioning feature before this supposed update. All I get now is a redirect to a page that informs me that I need to update my software and re-sync. Fine. I did that and, surprise; when I go back to the home page and go to "Upload", I once again get redirected to that same page. I'm curious as to whether this is something only I'm experiencing or a known issue. If the latter, does anyone have a solution to get past this nuisance?

Same issue for me. Using a mac with 2 Forerunner 410s. Have always had to manually upload my sons forerunner to his account since day 1. Now just getting the redirect to Garmin Express which won't work anyway. Not good.

    What shocker

Yep, same thing has happened to me, I got all excited when I saw it was asking me to reinstall Garmin express thinking that I will be able to use the new Garmin connect. I hope Garmin fixes this very quickly.
    Such a pain.

Me too. I just posted a message on their Facebook page. Maybe they will provide an answer a little quicker. Doubt it though. As an aside, they screwed up how you view reports. Once you select an option (e.g. Last week), you aren't able to go to the same drop-down to look at another parameter. Who thought of that one?

It's not even possible to upload manually. That's not what I call customer friendly!
And: I've got no plans to use Windows or Mac!
  • Exactly the same problem for me. UK-based, same thing across Chrome, IE, Safari & FF and WIn 7, Win 8 and Mac OS

Odd, my win7 machine, with IE11, won't work, it re-directs like described above.
My Win8 machine, also with IE11, worked fine. Chrome on Win8, worked so far that it got to the upload page (no re-direct), but half way through, the plug-in gave up and died.

Same problem here . Was uploading with classic Garmin easily as of 5/20/14 . Got redirected when I tried today , installed Garmin Express then searched for way to upload in " modern " Garmin . Could not find a meaningful path forward . Frustrating . I have 5 active Garmin devices .

No redirect here... just an error that I can't communicate with the Garmin Servers... Frustrating

Also... went to the old style site to do a file upload and you can't do that anymore... I select upload and it takes you directly to the stupid Garmin connect site. Would it not be advantageous for them to allow us to manually upload a file if the automatic upload is not working?
