It appears that Garmin wanted to do an update to the manner in which the "Upload" function was accessed. Unfortunately, at least in my experience, they seemed to have screwed up what was a perfectly functioning feature before this supposed update. All I get now is a redirect to a page that informs me that I need to update my software and re-sync. Fine. I did that and, surprise; when I go back to the home page and go to "Upload", I once again get redirected to that same page. I'm curious as to whether this is something only I'm experiencing or a known issue. If the latter, does anyone have a solution to get past this nuisance?
Same problem and it is new today for me after a week off of uploading. I have been uploading to MapMyRide and Garmin successfully for the past two years with occasional problems. A few weeks ago MMR was not uploading (multiple people reported it on the forum) and after 3 days it got fixed. Today, MMR uploads and Garmin does not. My guess is that there is a software glitch and if Garmin is monitoring this forum then they will fix it. It would however be nice to be able to give them a direct message and not just count on be spied upon as a way of communicating. Does anyone know how to send them a direct message? I cannot figure out a direct route. Thanks! PA
this is bad policy of Garmin. Never repair a working machine/software...! I will not update mac os x (10.6.8) ! I will not buy Garmin stuff anymore. where else could I upload my data?
just tried to upload todays ride and i have the same problem, all sorts of rubbish about upgrades, incompatibles and all that, a perfectly functioning system has been broken by unrequited upgrade, Garmin really know how to piss people off , now over to Strava to do a simple upload.
From the other thread that raised this issue, I have seen a comment from "an administrator" who says that Garmin have been notified. I am sure also that this post would / will be looked at by another / same administrator and perhaps it will be referred upwards again.
+1 When I attempt to access http://connect.garmin.com/transfer/upload I am redirected to http://connect.garmin.com/en-US/start independent of whether or not I have Garmin Express installed. Additionally, the support line does not offer a menu option for garmin connect - please update this as well. (tested in Chrome and Safari on a Mac, with cookies removed and problem still occurs)
