It appears that Garmin wanted to do an update to the manner in which the "Upload" function was accessed. Unfortunately, at least in my experience, they seemed to have screwed up what was a perfectly functioning feature before this supposed update. All I get now is a redirect to a page that informs me that I need to update my software and re-sync. Fine. I did that and, surprise; when I go back to the home page and go to "Upload", I once again get redirected to that same page. I'm curious as to whether this is something only I'm experiencing or a known issue. If the latter, does anyone have a solution to get past this nuisance?
From another thread, the issue has been bumped up to Garmin. S'pose we just have to wait. As it is I have managed to upload to another site so I can have a detailed look at todays work.:)
Same issue here. Each time I press 'upload' it directs me to a "getting started is easy" screen
This page indicates that if I didn't have a forerunner 305, downloading Garmin Express would be the solution. I do have the 305 though and clicking on the link to that just takes me to product support and a dead end regarding options to figure out what's going on for myself. It worked fine for my run this morning, 0700hrs BST.
Me too. I don't want to go to Garmin Express because I can't 'upgrade' my Mac from 10.6 since I will lose functionality ( as I don't want to trust all my data to Mac's Cloud). So we don't even get the chance to manually upload our data now. I'm off to Map my Ride. God know what I'll do for Software Updates.
Hey Hey people...Don't lose heart. I suspect that like me, you all have alternative" sites you upload to. Also, like me, I suspect this came about from using that other site prior to getting a Garmin (it was for me) and what we do, because of habit, is load up to both. I have different friends on both sites and I don't want to lose my network if I abandon a site. Hang in there and I am sure Garmin will fix the issue.
