Today I worked - hard - for 3 hours in the yard shoveling and raking. The Vivofit counted that for about 500 steps!? This was strenuous exercise; how does the device capture that sort of information more accurately. Does it ONLY recognize walking? Hey, it seems to recognize tossing periods during sleep, you would think it could tell something about full body movement involved in shoveling.
I have had the device for 4 days and the introductory materials are seriously substandard*, so I may just need better instruction on how to use the device properly. Hope someone in this forum can help. Thanks, Paul
