Unable to upload in Modern version of Garmin Connect

The New modern version of Garmin Connect does not give me an option to upload. I downloaded the Garmin Express Installer, I have a Mac, and I own the forerunner 620. I can upload in the classic version there i a button and everything. I cannot upload in connect. The sun option also says "nothing to sync right now." Anyone else having this issue with the modern view? I really like modern view but I have to keep switching between because of this issue. Help please!
I'm not a Mac user, but Garmin Express should be doing all of the uploading. If that is not happening, then there is a problem with Garmin Express. Do you happen to have the ANT Agent installed as well?
I'm also unable to sync activities from my Forerunner 310XT to Garmin Connect using the new Garmin Express. Also on a Mac. The software keeps trying to make a connection but I keep getting error message "Sync Failed. Please try again." I've manually re-enabled the device and rebooted it. Nothing. Help?
