Does the 660LM draw power from the battery while in the MC harness and turned off?

I recently installed the 660LM on my motorcycle (MC) and am using the MC harness hardwired to the battery. I know that while it is in the MC harness it only powers the device and does not charge the internal GPS battery. My question is that when I am not riding for a period of time, should I remove the head unit from the MC harness or is it ok to leave it connected but powered off?
