Modern is Clunky and Not Intuitive

The modern version of Garmin Connect is clunky, unresponsive much of the time and not at all intuitive (when compared to the old version). It's terrible.

    Modern v Classic?!

Does anyone actually prefer the Modern version of Garmin Connect compared with the old Classic view? Have Garmin actually done any surveys on this topic?! Is it just me that likes and much prefers the Classic version?

Personally I find the Modern version cluttered, non-intuitive and difficult to use and Garmin have done their usually bang-up job of not bothering to give any decent instructions and, worse, releasing this software with obvious bugs in it (mostly sorted now I think?).

I hope that Garmin are retaining the Classic version for the forseeable future? I've just had to upgrade my MS operating system to Windows 7 since XP no longer worked with the software. Garmin did warn me that XP was out of date but did not give any date for their switch over so had to upgrade in a hurry before I lost the data stored on the watch!

Good products (usually) but pretty terrible customer support and user-friendliness........

  • Biddles,

Until about 5 months ago, I was using Training Center because I really didn't like classic at all. I decided to try Connect again when I bought my vivofit and, to be honest, I much prefer it to classic. My modern setup presents me with the exact info I am looking for on an on-going basis. However there are features I don't really use so it's possible that may be the basis for complaints.
