My Garmin Vivofit activities won't upload

Have been trying for three days to upload my activities but I have nothing showing. Not sure what to do.
  • Do you have Garmin Express installed? Do you have the VivoFit paired with Garmin Express? If not, it probably would to open up the manual and start at page 1. If you do have it installed, and your device is paired, perhaps you could describe what you are doing and what is happening so someone can help you.

I did the "pair" and it still didn't work. I'm beginning to wonder if I wasted my money! Not even a manual to offer specific information and instructions. Has anyone figured this out yet?
  • I linked to the manual in my post above. Now that your device is paired, please describe what you are doing and what happens when you try to upload data from your VivoFit.

I am having the same issues. The only instruction the manual offers for uploading activities is to push the device button until it says sync.

When I sync my vivofit the only things it does are upload my steps, calories and sleep to the connect app. I can't input any other activities. I can't see or share my steps, activities or anything else with my connections.

The app tour mentions live track and my segments yet there are no headings for either of those things in the app. Under the steps heading there are no options to share the info with connections.

I think the lack of instructions mentioned really applies to using the app to see your activities and connections since there really isn't much to actually using the band itself. You put it on and press the button to sync or to sleep. That much is pretty straight forward.

If I understand correctly after looking around a bit this connect express app is fairly new and there are others that have had trouble with their activities not uploading. How new is it that you can only connect through the app without an option to manually upload your activities? Could this be a bug that needs to be worked out?

I'm having similar problems, but I get an error message after it has paired and while trying to sync. There is no further information as to what the error is.

I'm trying to link it via bluetooth to my phone. The bluetooth connects, but will not upload information. The phone says, "Syncing with vivofit", but after a minute or so, it simply gives me the error message.

I did not connect it with my desktop via the ANT. Is that a requirement prior to using the bluetooth connection on the phone with the app?

Same problem here. It says it's synching but nothing shows up in the android app. And in addition the step counter and calorie counter are way off. I pick up about 20 steps for every 10 I take. And there's no way 200 steps equates to 500 calories. I guess I'm going to have to take it back.

In my case it won't even upload sleep, steps or calories.

I wish there was a way to sync a run. It is not accurate for running whatsoever, so I take it off and use MapMyRun, then put it back on when I'm done. I can record the calories burnt from the run, but there is no way to log my distance or steps for the run, so I end up being short for steps for the day. I tried clicking "activities" ii Garmin Connect to see if I could just add the run manually, but the page just says "Garmin Connect hasn't received your data yet. Please visit the Getting Started Guide and Help Center for more information." But yet there is nothing at either of these places to fix this problem. That has been my only issue with this product, but it's a big issue.
