Is this on the Classic Garmin Connect, or the Modern? I don't have much problem searching public activities on Classic View, but I don't even find an option to search public courses or activities in the Modern view. Major oversight, in my opinion. And if I'm just missing it then it's not placed prominently enough! ;-)

I have found a solution, how to find public courses in the modern view. It is in my opinion quite elaborate way to access this and not very intuitive. See: this FAQ answer.
You have to go to your dashboard, add Courses widget to your Dashboard, then in the widget's settings option, click on Find Courses.
I can now browse the map and see other public courses. But the search function seems either very slow or broken. If I type a keyword in (e.g. Zurich) and search, it loads infinitely. Anybody else experiencing this problem?
