    Hello Jeni,

Your file stops abruptly with you still moving at 25km/h.
The battery was at 75% and there is no record of the Stop button being pressed so why it quit is unknown.
All the data looks good up to where it quit.

So....here ya go. Fixed with the Fit File Repair Tool.

My files have stopped loading since I downloaded express. I have have read the post and deleted/reinstalled both the Ant agent way and express but to no avail. I have a forerunner 910xt - any help/advice much appreciated.

    Hello Cwardle,

    Turn off Express.
In WinXP....right click the Express icon by the time and "Exit".
Then the ANT should work again. You might have to "pair" again.

Thanks Don. Is it possible that it stopped if the bike sensor battery died ? It is my understanding that the garmin looks to the bike sensor before using GPS ? This happened to me when I had the 310 and I was getting crazy readings whilst riding but no warning this time and it was all good. The activity in the watch is correct. The watch also makes a strange noise as a lap alert - not the standard buzz - more like it is underwater. Should I get it checked ? It is only 10 months old.

    Thanks :)

    Hello Jeni,

I mis-read the Event Log and gave you some incorrect information.

There is a record of the Stop Disable All button being activated somehow at the exact time your track stops, 12:23:59PM.
It was at the bottom of a long list and I missed it.

The file would not be corrupt if you had pressed it so I think something is not working correctly but I am guessing.

Are you using auto pause set at 3mph (5km/h) ?

If not then your sensor is mal-functioning, out of adjustment, weak battery, or something is making your 910XT pause at slower speeds and eventually corrupt the file.

I do not use a sensor so someone else will have to advise you on how to adjust it.

Thanks Don. I will have the sensor checked and replace the battery. I do not use auto pause at all. I had another file fail to upload from a few weeks ago but that was a running one. I was unable to locate the file on my computer. After this bike ride i went to do a short run but the unit wasnt picking up any GPS signal which I found strange (i had left it outside so it wouldnt dropt the signal while i changed to running gear). i turned it off and back on and it was fine and that file uploaded okay. it is strange that after the issue happened (at the 150k mark) the unit still gave me my speed, time and distance etc and nothing appeared abnormal.

    Regards
    Jeni

    Hello Jeni,

Ya, these electronic gadgets can drive ya nuts and of course none of them are perfect.

That is the main reason I invested in all these different softwares, so I can correct the various screw-ups of my devices and others.

Good luck getting yours sorted out.
