Garmin Connect Widgets interface doesn't appear on my account

As announced on the Garmin Blogs on 06 Jan 2014, "The new Garmin Connect will be rolled out in phases during Q1 of 2014."

We are now midway through 2Q2014 and I am still not seeing the improved "widgets" interface. I have tested by logging in using:
  • IE9 and Google Chrome in Windows 7
  • Safari in OS X Mavericks
  • Safari in iOS 7.1.1


I couldn't find any other posts within Forum > Into Sports > Garmin Connect that addressed this issue. Can anyone explain what I am missing?

  • Software isn't always completed on schedule. Just be patient, you'll be given access when your turn comes around. I know because I just got access this week. It's nothing to be super excited about. It isn't as functional as the classic connect, and it seems to be slower.

    Thanks Travis! Having been in I.T. for 6 years, I know all too well the schedule delays on application rollouts. Unfortunately I was expecting perhaps an update to the blog post to that effect (or a broadcast message in my account inbox).

    I am disappointed that you're experiencing issues; I was hoping the widgets interface would provide a similar experience to my fitbit account dashboard. Guess I'll be content to sit tight in "classic mode" :cool:
