I could not share to facebook last week but found if I did SHARE and then went to the bottom of the list which says MORE I could select facebook from there. Not sure if this is a similar problem to yours but might help.
If the share button is greyed out, it is because your activity privacy setting is not set to Everyone. You can change the setting for individual activities by clicking the lock icon in the activity details view.
