Stuck on the old website

When logging into Garmin Connect i'm still on the old website, how do I upgrade to the new version?

Me too. I heard that they were rolling out the upgrade in stages and those who used the old site regularly see an 'upgrade' button sooner than those who use the site less frequently. Not sure how long this so called roll out is supposed to take though!!

Don't get too excited (not that you are) I've been using the "Modern" version for a month or so now. And while it will be a nice upgrade there's so many functions that are not working yet in the new version there's no reason to feel like your missing out on anything. Matter of fact, it still doesn't see my Forerunner 210 but it does see my Edge 500 ~ for what ever reason. So I still use the old version to upload and view my runs, right now the modern version is just a different way to view the same data.
  • I've been on the site every day for years, and just about daily have a run to upload. Still haven't seen any upgrade button though.

I sympathise. I too have two devices. the modern version 'sees' my Forerunner 210, but not my Edge 510. Seems to be a bit of a theme here. The modern version promises a lot of whistles and bells and in some respects it looks pretty nifty, but I use the old version to upload and would suggest others do likewise until such time as the modern version is in it's final (working and bug free) form.

For me the text "Switch to Modern" sits right next to the "UPLOAD" button in the current "Connect" version, if you can see it then try clicking on it. that should take you there.

I wonder if for some reason the modern version is only seeing one device and it's based on what you may have plugged in the first you opened the program the very first time. Which might explain why my Edge 500 is showing up, a couple times through the winter I did plug it in just to keep the battery up, and I might have opened the modern version the very first time with it plugged in.

I have no such link. :(
  • Then you haven't been invited to the party. It will eventually be enabled for you, just be patient.

  • Actually mine was enabled last night. Don't see what all the fuss is about. I generally only use three or four screens: Activities, the graph display screen, view splits, and workouts screen. They are essentially the same except for a slightly different web page appearance.

They have added some fluff like segments that I doubt that anyone cares about but still haven't fixed their core issues like non meaningful Y axis limits on the pace and heart rate graphs. (They don't know how to deal with outlier data points.) And they still haven't had the sense to show average pace on the graph instead of instant pace which makes that graph useless. Seems like much ado about nothing.
