I have a Garmin Edge 200 and for the first 3 or 4 rides it uploaded the details of the ride straight away with no problems at all, for the last 3 or 4 rides it has been an absolute nightmare, the device is recognized by the laptop and website but they don't want to seem to talk to each other. I have spent many hours trying to upload my last few rides, which have uploaded eventually apart from the last ride, which will not upload. I have tried to sync the Garmin with Strava, but it sees the record of activities (7 in all) but when I try to upload to save and analyse, i get an error message. i am about to flip and sling the bloody thing up the garden!!! Can anyone help?
Are you using a windows based system? If so, then what version is it?
Also note that sometimes it helps to have your computer fully booted up and running before connecting and then let the device sit connected to your computer for a couple minutes before trying to upload an activity. This give the device a chance to start charging it's battery and time for the computer to finish installing the device drivers before it has to connect. Again, a booted up computer should only take less than 2 minutes to connect, mine normally does it in less than 1 minute.
