Reports seem to have changed

It used to be very easy to get the number of miles ran in a year. I would select an activity, 'running', and then the time frame I was after. Now it seems to be either or. I would like to tally the number of bike miles up to this point, and the number of running miles up to this point. How is that done now? Thanks.
  • Are you still using the classic Garmin Connect? If so, getting what you want is pretty simple. Go to the Reports page. Ensure that Progress Summary is the report type. Change the report to Report on [This Year] for [Running] to get a summary of your running miles this year.

You could also use the Activity Distribution report for this year to get a summary of the results for each activity type.

If you are on the modern Garmin Connect, I can't really help you. I can only see a few of those pages, and I'm not even sure if the reports page exists there. It doesn't really matter though as you should be able to access the classic reports page for a while.

I would be more than happy to return to the previous version of Garmin Connect. Is there a way to reinstall 'Classic Garmin Connect'?
  • Are you using Firefox? I noticed this problem the other day in Firefox, it seems to be working fine in Chrome and Internet Explorer.

To switch back to classic view, open the menu (three bars on the left) and click "switch to classic temporarily.

Yes, I usually just use Firefox. I'll try your suggestions. Thank you.

    Yes, works on Explorer

Yes, it still works like I am used to seeing it on Explorer, so I guess this is related to Firefox only.
