How to Edit or Delete Golf Score Cards

I've got a few errors on my Garmin Connect now after using my Approach 4S a few times. I just can't see how to edit or delete rounds which makes Connect utterly pointless.

I'm having to still use Shotzoom which is good but does nothing extra to Connect apart from being able to edit/delete.

Storing scorecards on the watch is not helpful.

I have been a skycaddie user for years and just moved to Garmin... Seems they have a bit to go to get up to a suitable user satisfaction, dont get me wrong it is great but still needs some software issues dealt with.... WHY CANT YOU EDIT SCORES... Seems ridiculous, i'm with you all and hope that GARMIN sort this out...

I also have this piece of code displayed throughout my Garmin Connect screens.. I can only assume it's for the date to be displayed but simply aint working... ", NaN, 0NaN"

There is also a distinct lack of editing ability on the site, and on the garmin... There is also not a great help section... For new golfers who are bamboozled by all the data there is no explanation of what the numbers mean... Still alot of work to be done Garmin...Get a move on...

Right! Just bought the Vivoactive, using it for golf among other things. Reading this thread and others concludes that the scorecard can not be edited. I had a round of 18 holes today and thought I got it
all right but missed on hole and got the wrong score on one. Can´t even ad the puts...have no time for that on course. The card on connect is useless if I can´t edit it. On tuesday I´m calling the garmin guys support here i sweden who are great. I will be returning the device asap.

    I have the S6

The way I do it is sync using Garmin Express, then load Garmin Connect, find the errors

Delete the scorecard from Garmin Connect

Open My Computer, open the watch Drive, go to Scorecard Data

Find the scorecard then edit the errors, save

Then re-sync Garmin Express and it should upload the corrected scorecard

Every so often I enter the wrong number of putts or direction of drive when rushing around the course, then go home and re-align it to the correct info whilst its fresh in your mind what happened on the course

deleting rounds from Garmin Approach S6 ad others i presume

the customer service number is very handy. 913-397-8200

You sign in to Garmin Connect

three lines in top left next to your device, click on that menu

scroll down to scorecards, click on that

you will see the rounds you have played (according to the watch)

click on the ones you would like to delete- once you click you will see a trash can in the upper right of the scorecard. click on it and you are good to go.

Now my stats are still wonky but i am calling again to figure out that piece.

    GOOD LUCK!!

    Delete a golf round

You have to use Garmin Express on your computer, connect the watch via USB, log in, search the desire scorecard, delete it, browse watch folders and delete the round using the computer explorer, close everything and desconnect USB, open Garmin Connect app, refresh.

Cant find a way to edit yet, but erasing a round is a great step. To bad you need a lot of steps to do it instead of just a "button" in the app.

How to Edit a round on a Garmin golf watch

I know Garmin have not modified Garmin Connect to edit rounds once they are in your profile.

Most have figured out how to delete a round but the edit issue is still there.
There is a way to do it but it is a little involved.

Delete the one you want to edit from Garmin Connect (without your device connected).

Connect your device and then you should be able to see it in either Windows Explorer or Finder (depending upon your OS). There you can browse and find the Data directory. In here you will find a directory called scorecards in which is an XML file for every round on your device. These will be named according to the date and time and Course name.

If you right click the one you would like to edit and select "Open With" and select a simple text editor, either Notepad (in Windows) or TextEdit (in OSX).
Now this can look a little crazy but it it is essentially just a tagged file, the stags are surrounded by <>. Once you take some time to read through it you can find the spots for the various holes and the stats for each of them. I have an S4 so if you have on elf the G series it may look like a bigger mess but if you know the stats for even one hole you can use that one as a guide as to what it should look like. Save your changes.

Next time you connect it should sync and show up. If it doesn't you can trick it by going into the same XML file and change the time in the title of the file and inside the file. This should allow it to see it as a "new Round".

Hope this helps out a few of you while Garmin puts their best people on this problem.

If you are worried about messing up all your rounds you can always copy out the XML files in the scorecard directory to have a backup.

    deleting rounds

Hi, i messed around with my g6 when i bought it, and had my stats messed up, .. before i discovered connect was irreversable, i found it easier to clear the g6 history, and open a new garmin connect account and start again,.. Rocky.
