website keeps crashing

This is SOOOO frustrating. I'm trying to create courses and the site keeps crashing. I either get an error message or I get thrown out of my account and get asked to log in again. Either way I lose everything I've just done. The only way I can actually get anything done is to save the route first, then plot a couple of miles, save again, plot a couple of miles etc etc. This has been happening for the last 3 weeks. Why is this happening?
