Elevation spikes - Manipulation and reimport

Hello,

I have a FR110. I think it has done a good job on elevation, but today it didn't do too good :)

I uploaded the file to garmin connect, but I had two elevation spikes. I exported the file as .gpx and manually entered the correct height for the two spikes. I deleted the old activity, and imported the file. It imported fine, but the spikes were still there. I then try to export as .gpx again (the activity that I had manipulated), and the elevation spikes were back in the file again...

How did garmin connect now that the spikes were there in the first place, when I have manually removed them from the file?

My theory was that the activity was never actually deleted, just removed from my list. So I tried using a different file name, but that didn't help. I also tried to change the start time, but no luck there either.

I have tried searching the forums. Most advice is pointed at calibration.

5 minutes later, and I have done some more research.

I tried to use a online .fit file fixer. It seems to fix the errors, and I now have a fixed .fit file. I tried to upload, but the same problem occurs.

I'm thinking it has something to do with elevation correction. But I just can't wrap my head around it...
