Cycling Segments

Using a Edge 500.

I've created a few segments that are in my usual route and it logs my time through these segments but on the leader board there are about 26 other people that have posted times but my name doesn't show up, only when I select "Me Only" do all my times show in a table. Plus when I look at my ride with all the info it shows me passing through my segments with the time but next to it is a little yellow icon that says "null" and a explanation of my time says "This ride put you on a overall rank of null"

So why isn't my time been put on the leader board? I've tried every setting possible to no avail. Also I cant even delete segments that I have created.

Any help appreciated.

    Connect not showing segments crossed

    My downloads from the last two rides showed "no segments" on Garmin connect. Interesting as I received numerous indications on my Garmin Edge 510 while riding that I had completed segments.....

    same here, no segments crossed although the connect status pages says segments are online.

    Same with me the segments I have crossed for the last week don't seem to be showing up :mad:

    Same here, I did exactly identical rides two days in a row and on the first one I can see 3 segments and on the second none. I contacted Garmin Support and got a quick answer to do a master reset on my 510. But I am not going to do that since the segment part is on server side, the course is correctly showing up on the map but no segments at all. There must be something wrong with Garmin Connect Segment part. I tried to export the FIT-file and then delete the activity and finally import the FIT-file again but with the same result.

    ..............................contacted Garmin Support and got a quick anser to do a master reset on my 510.


    They really piss me off with theold knee jerk ......... "perform a master reset".
    Like all of us have time to do a master reset every time we have an issue.

    Yes, that seems to be the first words every support/helpdesk employee has to learn :)

    If You have a problem with segments not showing up in Garmin Connect PLEASE create a ticket to Garmin Support
    I think thats the way to make them understand there's a problem.

    I'm enjoying my garmin 1000, but I've spent a few days trying to understand segments. I've synced to my strava account so I can compare after the event which is fine.

    But still clueless where to start with garmin segments for real-time rides.

    Stumbled on this video. I'll try it when I get home but may be what I've been looking for. Without having to drag on a map to create segments. Looks straight forward.
