Bike Profiles on Garmin Connect

Bike Profiles on Garmin Connect

  • Currently Garmin Connect is the only major cloud fitness service that maintains no ability to track different bikes.
  • Yes, you can do this on the device, however for anyone using multiple devices, odometers, trips, and settings per bike are recorded separate.
  • Users who have Garmin 510's and 910s, for instance, cannot record (in one place) the activities and odometer readings of multiple bikes.
  • You can only access bike information on the device; being able to access with ease with the Garmin Connect GUI would be greatly beneficial.

Agreed! I currently upload the activity to connect then go edit it. For my tri bike I call it "road cycling" and for my road bike it is "cyclocross" then my mountain bike is "mountain bike" This kinda gets the job done but it sure would be nice if bikes and shoes could be tracked properly!!!

    Bike profiles and trainer option

I too would like to specify which bike I'm riding. It would also be nice if I could check off a box to show if it was on a trainer or not. Right now I use three tracking programs (MapMyRide, Garmin Connect, and Strava) because none of them has all the features I need. Garmin Connect comes the closest, and I have a Garmin 500, so I'd love to use only Connect

Has anyone tried Ridewithgps? It has a lot of features, including bike profiles. I have no experience with anything else than GC and Ridewithgps, so I can't compare with others.
