Oregon 650 + Heart Rate Monitor

With the most recent firmware upgrade for the Oregon 650 I saw something about fixing a problem with an Ant+ heart rate monitor.
Whatever you did, did NOT seem to fix the problem. The 650 with Software Version 3.90 and an attached Garmin Heart Rate Monitor plus a Tempe is completely unreliable. It will go on and display both readouts on the fitness dashboard but within a few minutes it always freezes up or just reboots on its own. Completely unusable for workouts.

Found this little tidbit on the Garmin Oregon Wiki and removing my custom symbols seems to have taken care of the whole problem.
HRM & Tempe worked flawlessly on my last run.

"Oregon 6xx with CustomSymbols and firmware v3.90 installed may exhibit frequent lock-ups and/or crashes. [01APR14]"
