New Vectors :-) New knee Pain :-(

I just got a set of Vectors and they seem to be working well - (Correct torque, alignment, crank length, zeroing etc.) - The L/R balance and best fields to view for usable data are threads for another day but my primary concern is that I switch from Speed Play pedals to the Vectors and my knees are hurting.

I had NO knee pain with the Speed Plays and I wasn't professional fitted for the shoes (bike yes but I got the shoes later and never had an issue), in fact I didn't realize how important cleat position obviously is as I had replaced the speedplay cleats twice due to wear and never paid much attention to the exact alignment with no knee pain issues.

With the Vectors I have been trying to move the cleats around to try to find a position that feels good. I read about float and fore-aft positioning but I can't find anything that really outlines how to really install these cleats correctly and whether or not I need to get different color (different float?) cleats to get me to a proper alignment so the pain goes away.

I have made no modifications on my bike other than swapping the speed plays out for the vectors but I am looking at having my fit relooked at but this seems nuts for just a pedal swap.

I really want to train with power and I love the Vectors but I can't deal with them if they screw up my knees. Any guidance or set up instructions would be helpful.

Thanks

Dave
