No Health Data with Modern Update

I have a Tanita scale and have really enjoyed the ease of capturing and monitoring ALL of the data from my scale in the classic interface. The Modern interface only tracks and displays historical data for weight! Garmin appears to be breaking a golden rule of software updates - never go backwards. Am I missing something here?
  • If there's a way to graph anything other than weight in the modern UI I can't find it...unfortunately they seem to have removed this functionality. Thanks Garmin.
  • I have the same problem and hope that Garmin will address it soon

Same problem. Hoping it'll be added back soon.

Same here. I would argue that reducing 'health' to just 'weight' could lead to bad pr for garmin. I'm not so interested in what my weight is, but what it is in relation to body fat and muscle mass. I was hoping with the new update we'd be able to see those three sets of figures simultaneously on one graph, but as said above they appear to have gone backwards and removed the ability to easily view historical data for various parameters!!!

Whilst I'm complaining I'll also add that I can now only see back 12 months (where as on classic I have data back to December 2010). And also the scale on the graph has weight values from 50kg to 90kg whilst my weight only varies between 70-72kg (if I can help it) so it basically looks like one flat line (as opposed to classic where it is between 60-80kg, giving a better indication of variation in weight).

I agree with all of the above.

Weight is one of the least useful metrics and the scaling for the y axis needs some work (seems to be uniform 20kg's either side of average).

Definitely should be considered as unfinished as all the data is still being captured, but no ability to graph it up
  • Is there a way to add items, like health/weight, to the dashboard? There seems to be plenty of space to add widget-like elements to the dashboard.

I can add "weight" to my dashboard...over and over in fact...but it won't seem to stay added. If you go to the sidebar, click the horizontal bars to get a list of available options, then hover or click on the arrow next to 'weight' it will open a box which, at the top, has a button to 'add to dashboard'. That works fine, then I move it to where I want it to be, but once I sign out, its gone from the dashboard. Can't seem to make it 'stick'. Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

The health data (bodyfat, muscle mass, etc.) is incredibly important and a key reason I purchased and use Garmin products with my Tanita scale. Garmin's response (or lack there of) to this thread will dictate whether I continue to support the company. Please direct me to an update/response if I'm missing something.
  • Same here, the Tanita scale is bought to have a complete measurement system.... now it is useless, sportstrack can not read it out anymore .... come on Garmin, normally an upgrade give you more.... her you give us less......
  • I've got the Tanita and use both the 910XT and the Edge 800 to read the data. With the modern interface I choose full screen on the weight widget and I can see all the additional info i.e. body fat bone mass, muscle mass. The only issue I have is the new interface only allows you to go back over 12 months.
