Ability to GPS co-ordinate & elevation data from indoor activities.

Unless I had explicitly turned off the GPS on the watch, garmin connect will still show a map and elevation plot for the activity. Although I can minimize these, can we automatically strip GPS data from obviously indoor activities and have an option to not display it on a per activity basis afterwards?

Reason being, I want to share my activities but I don't necessarily want certain groups of people knowing exactly where I am.
  • You can download a .tcx file for the activity, strip the position data out of the file, and upload it back to Garmin Connect. If you know your way around the command line in windows, the following command would do it (assuming the name of your tcx file is activity_448041353.tcx, the output file would be activity_448041353-new.tcx)...

    findstr /v "Position> LongitudeDegrees> LatitudeDegrees>" activity_448041353.tcx > activity_448041353-new.tcx
