Specific Feature - Which GPS?

I am trekking to Everest Base-camp in July and my current GPS (60CS) isn't really up to the job and lacks a feature that I would like to have.

Basically I would like to have a GPS where I can load onto it a route made up of way-points (hundreds) that I have put together using a third party desktop app. Then, starting out on the trek I would like to not have to monitor the GPS but rather it silently monitor my progress but alert me if I deviate from the trail. Equally, should I miss a way-point I would rather it alerted me, but give me the oppertunity to cancel that particular WP and proceed on the trail to the next and the subsequent waypoint without me manually directing to each WP thereafter.
The reason is this: Waypoints are point to point and don't account for circular deviations in the trail without the need for multiple waypoints at each turn. I don't have the time to monitor waypoints every 100m or so and would rather this was done for me.

Is there a Garmin product with this capability?

Thank you in advance.
