Can no longer load gpx from Garmin device

For the longest time when I finish my day I save the current track (Using a Oregon Montana) and then do the manual upload to Garmin Connect and it loads the activity. For a couple of week now I get an error occurred with your upload please try again. I have tried moving it to my computer and then doing it. I have tried using both Mapsource and Basecamp to create tracks and save the file as gpx and they get the same error. So why all of a sudden is this happening.
There seems to be a lot of this lately. Prior to about a two weeks ago, Garmin Connect would accept most valid gpx files. At that time I found that it was no longer accepting gpx files with a byte-order-marker and it didn't like some extension data. Since then uploading has been even more picky. I believe that the issues have been sorted out in this thread.
