Garmin "Express" Not Completing Watch Updates

I have installed Garmin Express and uploaded run data from my watch (Garmin 220). Garmin Express says I need to update software. I click yes and approve the terms of service and other BS. The upload basically just grinds away and never installs. Rebooted several times, same result.

What a POS new interface.

My 220 is doing the same. GE is putting the GUPDATE.RGN into new REMOTESW folder in the top folder in the watch.
If so move the RGN file to the existing REMOTESW folder that's under the Garmin folder on the watch.
That will update the watch but you will still have to contact Garmin to stop the repeated notification and re downloading.

I think my watch is now updated, as it (the watch) went through the install process when I disconnected it. But Garmin Express is still showing that I need to install a GPS Chipset update. Of course, when I try to do so, Express just grinds away and does nothing. Does Garmin test this stuff before making such a big change?
