why change things

Garmin connect modern......use Garmin express to connect device How?????? it just sends me to a page to down load Garmin express which i already have and then what??????? why re invent the wheel.....I don't mind change if it explains what to do to get there grrrrrr
Installed Garmin Express but still Connect tells me that I have no devises on Garmin Connect.
Nowhere in Garmin Connect does it tell me how to "connect" the devise to the Connect Modern website. About the only thing that garmin express has done for me is prompt to upgrade firmware which has now broken GPS connectivity somehow (separate forum post coming on that issue)
Come on Garmin, don't encourage people to switch to something new until it's ready for general use. I fear for the future using this new modern interface.
It ran fine before and was easy to work with and understand, now it's very slow and difficult to navigate Junk Junk Junk!!!!!!!!!!! Why all the extra steps just to upload your ride data? Makes no sense to ad steps and change terminology. Equally as trashed for down loading courses. No clear indicator that things are working and completed.
