Why did you kill facebook sharing?
Former Member
I'm trying to share my run on Facebook and I keep getting an error message. Didn't you guys test this stuff before you launched? Hoping you can fix - thanks.
Same here, share to facebook just comes up with "uploading image" then "error occurred try logging out and try again". Logging out then on again (in either FB or GarminConnect) does nothing but waste some time.
Facebook might have changed something in their interface but no Garmin dont seem do any testing before releasing updates as "live".
The overall impression I get from the amount of errors Garmin Connect suffers from - at least 2 major data display or data handling errors in the last year plus now this Facebook share error... Garmin dont have a "test it before releasing it" policy, they have a person in a bedroom with an acorn electron computer somewhere who does all their "development" and "testing" for them. I really dont understand why they dont have a professional IT support and development section as so much of their products usefulness and sales must depend on the online uploaded component.
TEST MEANS YOU MAKE SURE UPDATES DONT SCREW YOUR CUSTOMERS OVER... If WalkJogRun.com etc. had any sense they would cash in on Garmins IT illiteracy and scoop up customers by allowing us to import our data. Garmin need to develop a real policy instead of just letting IT support staff upload updates that arent working 100%... Garmin could start acting almost like a proper online business does! If they dont then its only a matter of time before someone else starts picking up discontented Garmin customers.
