Upload problem

Starting from yesterday I couldn't upload my gxp file in Garmin Connect!
I use an Etrex30...
I'd tried to upload manually and automatically but with no result.
Manually I'd received a generic error message, automatically I'd waited for an hour without result.

    I have exactly the same problem, starting from yesterday. I called Garmin and they told me that they are upgraidin Garmin Connect. It is likely that upgrading work is the cause of the problems.

    It's not a good idea update garmin.connet without testing it. This bug seam to be existing for a lot of people.

    Yep, I'm now unable to get gpx files from up Etrex 20 onto Garmin Connect - I'm told whenever I try that 'An error occurred with your upload. Please try again.' The problem persists even when the file is copied from the Extrex onto my hard drive. But there's nothing wrong with the file as such; Strava handled it perfectly. Got to echo Sharnie1's please to 'get it sorted'! This is the second time in a few weeks that Connect has screwed up for me while Strava has worked perfectly: got to suspect that this site will start to haemmorhage users if things don't smooth out soon...

    A little follow-up...I just converted the relevant file to a tcx file using GPSies, and the upload still won't work. Yet I'm able to upload files from my FR305. The site has perhaps been changed in a way that makes it struggle with Etrex 20s, that are made by...Garmin!?

    Yet again the same issue. Impossible to upload anything from a file to Garmin Connect. Either Garmin is deliberately stopping file uploads (to force the use of its own devices - which would be very stupid as most of us are multiple garmin device owners) or they are just incompetent, have broken something pending an upgrade or maintenance. Either way it makes using a Garmin online service seem erratic and unreliable compared to alternatives including Strava. Even Movescount is looking good in comparison. Please fix this asap and give us a headsup as to what the problem is and how long it will take to fix. How difficult is this?
  • I've also tried saving to hard drive to upload, converting to tcx and still no joy - come on guys give us a clue, this is infuriating!!! I was considering buying another garmin product but will be looking elsewhere if this isn't sorted quickly!!:mad:
