Garmin Connect Upload Failure

I am using a Dakota 20 and have been uploading to Garmin Connect for some time.

I had some USB connection issues with my home computer (USB hub seems to have failed) hence connected the unit directly and it mounts.

The issue is that the current GPX file will not upload to Connect, either manually or by selecting the unit.

I brought the Current GPX file into BaseCamp and tried to upload from there - this failed. I therefore deleted the current GPX file, as I assume it was in some way corrupted and following a bike ride have tried to upload again - still failed.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

I have a similar problem. I use Dakota 20 as well and until April 8, 2014, I was able to manually upload my gpx files into GC. Since yesterday, I have not been able to do so as any attempt to upload results with the "An error occurred with your upload. Please try again." message. My gpx file is not corrupt because I can view it with other applications. Moreover, older gpx files that could be uploaded to GC prior to April 8, cannot be uploaded now. Any ideas what has happened?

    Hi
I´m trying to import a workout (.gpx) and i´m getting the same error: "an error occurred with your upload..."; already tested with another file that was imported a few weeks ago and i´m getting the same error. Your collaboration will be apreciated.

  • Chirality, Thanks for letting me know. That is really helpful. I was just in the process of wiping my Dakota!

Any ideas on this GARMIN? Is it part of the 'new' Connect!?
  • Just reset the unit and deleted the GPX folder via the computer and still will not upload.
  • There are a few known issues with the Garmin Connect gpx parser. I've outlined them here. If you continue to have trouble getting it to work, post a link to your file so I can see it.

  • Travis, I've deleted the bit of code suggested and it still will not upload. Here's a bit of the current.gpx file:

I have removed the "extensions" fragment as well but the modified file would still not upload to GC.
  • Don't paste the text of the file. Add it as an attachment so that I can download it in its entirety.
