Anyone else not able to "share" their run to Facebook today? I'm wondering if it's just me.... It tells me some errors occured and to log in and try again. I do and still get same error message. :-(
I had the same problem, it can be temporarily resolved by switching to OpenStreet Maps, at which point a permission requester for Garmin to post to Facebook pops up, and can be executed. Does not work for Bing or Google maps, therefore the error is probably in how Garmin Connect creates the URL for facebook, depending on map type, most likely on the sharing of Facebook information issue, as that was what I had to authorize on Facebook to get the Open Street Maps to work. Could be that the new Garmin Connect is needing permissions on Facebook to work properly, but is not requesting those for map types that were used before. - ssg
Yes, I mentioned that changing to OpenStreetMaps fixed the issue for me. In addition, you can still post to Facebook, you just can't do it directly from Garmin Connect. If you go to the activity details page and copy the URL, you can manually go to Facebook and paste that URL into a status update.
