cant e mail activity

HI , I have a garmin 610 , i transfer data from thewatch to Garmin connect and can see all the detail there. I want to e-mail the activity data to a friend who doesnt have a garmin and as far as I can see it is impossible to do so ----copied and pasted the link but they can't open as they dont have privalleges -presume cause password protected, tried to export with the three options --google maps, gpx and tcx and none of them will open and show detail..

Anyone any similiar proplems or can tell me how to mail a completed activity to someone would be very greatful.

I have not done it in quite a while, but I used to email the link to some of my activities in Garmin Connect to my friends and they had no issue with viewing them. Are you sure that those activities privacy setting was set correctly? If you are worried about the whole world being able to view your activity, then they could join GC and you could set them up as one of your "connections". Facebook is also an option, but I don't use FB.

When looking at the activity details view, you should see a Share button along the grey bar near the top of the page. If the Share button is greyed out, you need to change the privacy setting on that activity. You can do that by clicking the lock icon to the left of the Share button. When the popup menu appears, select Everyone. Once the Share button is available, you can either click it and choose the Email option, or you can copy+paste the url into an e-mail to send to your friend.

Sharing to Facebook (or any other sharing mechanism) isn't an option if the activity isn't visible to everybody, so even if you wanted to do that it wouldn't work.
