Modern Garmin Connect mostly doesn't work in both Firefox and Chrome

On my home PC (Vista), I am having issues with both Firefox and Chrome. I can't seem to get GC working on either browsers.

On Chrome, I get the dashboard with the widgets of, say, sleep, steps, activities, etc. However, I am unable to get the full view of sleep or steps whether I select from the side bar or from the widget. And those are exactly the two views that show the information from my new vivofit.

On Firefox, I get no data. When I log in, I get a blue background with the left side bar. I cannot get any of the sidebar menus to show, however, or select anything. I've cleared cache, cookies on both browsers, with no difference in results.

    I too was having trouble with chrome, and was using Ghostery. It is the "AddThis" tracker that I needed to allow to get the site to work.
  • If you are using Ghostry you need to allow it ( Whitelist)

    I have just activated Modern Garmin, downloaded and updated. But all I get is a blank blue screen using Firefox. What's the solution?

    Same issue with Chrome and IE on Windows 7.
  • Not quite ... I'm running IE and Win7 and it's working just fine, I've just checked :confused:

    Same issue here using Vista Home Premium and Chrome... Blue screen with aside bar that does nothing. I tried using IE 9 and it seems to work fine.
    You can get back to the original dashboard by going to http://connect.garmin.com/dashboard.

    I've had the same blue-screen death on multiple browsers w/ Mac Air. This is what Garmin recommended :)
    We are sorry your unable to get to the Garmin Connect Dashboard. Please use the recommendations below to see if we can load it properly:

    •Restart your computer
    •Clear the cache for the browser you are using
    •Try another browser
    Try another computer

    So, buy the Vivofit and then get another computer just to "see" if the Garmin Connect will work?

    JUST FIX THE WEBSITE so customers can use it and give up making useless suggestions or don't offer "customer support"!

    This is a common problem, and it was mentioned in this thread several times already. I know for a fact that Ghostery and AdBlock Plus can cause problems viewing the modern Garmin Connect site. If you wish to continue using the plugins, then you can whitelist garmin.com so that the plugins don't run on Garmin Connect.

    Even if you don't have a browser extension/plugin installed, it is possible that your browser is blocking content from addthis.com. If this is the case, you will just see a big blue screen when you try to access the modern Garmin Connect.

    "last synched 5:24 pm" 6/24/14 then clicked on link "see data in Garmin Connect"--got blue screen in Modern; in http://connect.garmin.com/dashboard under Analyse tab <connect.garmin.com/.../upload> got "No devices found. Please connect your device now [ANT stick is/has been for 45 min. plugged in, wearing Garmin Vivofit as I type] and try again." Tried again and same message at http://connect.garmin.com/transfer/upload. In http://connect.garmin.com/dashboard @ Dashboard tab I see the welcome greeting w/ my user name for Garmin Connect but only "WHERE'S MY STUFF head and canned text reading "Garmin Connect hasn't received your data yet..." On <connect.garmin.com/.../start> screen, I appear to be blocked at "LINK YOUR DEVICE" at the auto stage, "Garmin Express will help you set up your device and link to Garmin Connect. From here on, your activities will upload to Garmin Connect whenever you plug in your device or come within wireless range." On the video @ http://connect.garmin.com/en-US/start/vivo it's that screen at minute 1:46 that completely eludes me in Connect Modern and any of "MY STUFF" in Connect Dashboard. Not a plug-in or browser or platform issue. Another computer runs into the same issues.
