Modern Garmin Connect mostly doesn't work in both Firefox and Chrome

On my home PC (Vista), I am having issues with both Firefox and Chrome. I can't seem to get GC working on either browsers.

On Chrome, I get the dashboard with the widgets of, say, sleep, steps, activities, etc. However, I am unable to get the full view of sleep or steps whether I select from the side bar or from the widget. And those are exactly the two views that show the information from my new vivofit.

On Firefox, I get no data. When I log in, I get a blue background with the left side bar. I cannot get any of the sidebar menus to show, however, or select anything. I've cleared cache, cookies on both browsers, with no difference in results.

    This same problem is happening to me (ie blue screen with side bar that does nothing) and I use Safari. Any suggestions would be very welcome!!

    Modern Version - Not on a Mac!!

    i have a mac with safari and connect does not work ,blue paGE WITH SIDE MENU THAT DOES NOTHING


    I have exactly the same problem, obviously lots of others do too. I contacted Garmin and they were basically useless! They reset my password and said it should now work, as if!!!!! I've contacted them twice since but they are now refusing to answer. Best bet would be to dump Garmin and get another hardware supplier. They are treating their customers so badly now. DISGUSTED

    Exactly the same here, no help from Garmin so far, they truly are a crap company and care little for their customers. No more Garmins for me!

    Same here, switched to modern on safari browser and sidebar does nothing.

    Did manage to get back to classic by opening a link that was emailed to me for a course created on classic interface. Saved bookmark for the classic dashboard displayed and I now get classic if I use the new bookmark. Upload worked, haven't tried any other functions.

    If I use my old bookmark or connect site to access dashboard I still get to modern uselessness :(

    After swapping to modern a warning appeared that said my OS (snow leopard) was getting old and connect would not work with it sometime in the future, perhaps it's an OS issue?

    Edit, after logon to connect which gets modern screen then click bookmark for old version. This is address bookmarked http://connect.garmin.com/dashboard

    So how do I get back to the version before "modern"? I have not been able to upload my data for a week now.


    garmin connect has stopped recognising my garmin 510 edge device....i have windows XP professional....is it related to this?
  • This new version is rubbish. Cannot download any activities and keep going around in circles. Can't even go back to old version. For the money they charge for these devices the support is rubbish.

    I have the same problem. Several days ago, the widgets stopped appearing. Just the original blue screen and the icons on the left do nothing. IE works fine. What happened?

    Having the same issue. Blue screen with left panel icons not working. I am running: Chrome - Version 35.0.1916.114 m
