Request: Hourly beep or vibrate function without having to set alarm.

Hi,

I'm thinking of purchasing a Fenix2 and will be using it as a day to day watch. For this reason I will need an hourly beep/chime or vibrate or both function that can be enabled without having to set 24 separate alarms that repeat 7 days a week.

I myself am a developer and can help with the actual development of this. Tell me what language you use and I will provide the simplest code that you can include in your BETA or FInAL release of the 4.15? release for Fenix2.

Please let me know if this can be done expediently as I'll be looking at Suunto Ambit 2 unfortunately otherwise... :(

Hope it's not too much.

Thanks a million!

Let's just assume that they are writing their code in C. How do you expect to be able to provide working code for them to use given that you don't know what library features or device facilities are available to you. You have no information about how your code would be called, or how it would need to be structured to fit into the device's software subsystem.

I looked at the docs for the Suunto and it doesn't have this feature either. You could pretty easily write it up using their Suunto App Designer. If my understanding is correct that would mean that your Ambit 2 would have to be in sport mode, so you would no longer have a day-to-day watch as the battery would waste away running your timer.

I'd love that feature on my Fenix (1) as well. I probably first asked for it a year ago. Even when running I like to have an hourly chime.
