Strength Training/Weight Training on Garmin Connect

Cross posting this from the App forum request but think its important and would need a lot of work on connect side as well to incorporate.



I use Flex Workout Logger for IOS. Best one I found and I test quite a number of them before settling on this one. Would be great if the functionally of this app could be built into the Garmin apps so you could easily track your strength training session in Garmin connect as well. Strength training is key to performance and improvement is very lacking on Garmin connect. App allows you to create your own exercises, and routines with target weights and reps. Then allows you to quickly check them off with double click as you move through your workouts. After complete you would have data length of workout, date/time and how much weight was moved which could be sync/uploaded to Garmin connect on completion for a better complete view of all your activities.

It has other functionality as well that allows you to track body measurements which could also be incorporated into health section of Garmin.

I know you can go add a manual activity to Garmin connect but these capabilities would allow for more data to be tracked and to be done automatically.

I run, bike, swim, and lift and track all except my strength training on Garmin Connect. Would be nice to have the missing piece in my overall view of activities.
