Elevation wrong... Again

Anyone else having a problem disabling elevation correction? Ran the same hilly course back to back days. One says elevation gain 87ft (unable to disable), the other says elevation gain 247ft. Again, same course. I'm thinking elevation enabled is in-accurate. Anyone?
I am noticing that tracks uploaded from a Garmin Fenix to Garmin Connect show Elevation Corrections enabled by default, and I am not able to select the Disabled option. In some old activities I recorded on a Garmin oregon, and I uploaded mannualy, so no device is detected, Elevation Corrections appear as Disabled, and I am not able to change the setting to Enabled. something must be wrong.
