my garmin edge 510 wanders alone

My garmin edge 510 wanders alone while I'm eating noodles with in the house.
(I set auto pause 5km/h)
I think garmin 510 must has manual pause button.

  • This can happen when GPS signal is spotty. If the signal isn't consistent, the device has a hard time determining your exact position. As long as that data seems to indicate that your position has changed, the auto-pause feature won't work. i.e., if you are inside a building or a tunnel use the Stop button, otherwise the auto pause should work fine.

If I push the stop button, garmin displays save or discard and
garmin will stop recording until I push the stop button again.
    Am I right?
    Thank you.
  • Yes. It is my understanding that if you press Stop and just wait, the Save/Discard screen will go away and your workout will be paused.
