+1 - posted about this elsewhere and didn't realize this was available. I think this is absolutely a critical component to make the Modern look (which I like) a long-term success!
It seems that they aren't expecting anyone to switch over at this point. Only users of the VivoFit have access to the modern Garmin Connect, and from what I understand activities from non-VivoFit devices don't appear on the modern Garmin Connect. If that is indeed the case, then they are expecting you to switch back and forth. When they make it available to users of non-VivoFit devices, I think they'll have more of the classic functionality available. If it isn't there initially, I think you can assume that they'll be trying to provide it.

this isn't true. I got a Vivofit on Monday - all my previous Forerunner activities are available to view on the activities widget. the activities widget has a list view, which can also be expanded to a full page.
it's enough for me, but granted there doesn't seem to be a calendar view like the old one under plan - not something I used, but can see how it would be very useful for some folk.
It appears the Calendar feature has been added to the modern Connect version - I have noticed it available for the last week or so. Thanks Garmin development team for migrating it from the Classic Version!
