Little "Notification" Envelope flashing but empty!

Sometimes,the little "Notification" Envelope at the right side next to my username on the top of the screen of Garmin Connect has a number (in red) by it, for example 3 messages, then, when I click on it its empty!
Happens quite a lot ...

Mine does that a lot as well. I don't have an answer as to what it is but it can be quite annoying. Interested to hear a fix for this.

I also see this. It usually happens when my computer's been idle a long time and need to log back in to the website. Have never received any actual notifications.

Don't worry about it, the messages are just:
1: Notification that you've won the Ecuadorian lottery and they need you to send a US$548 fee so they can release your winnings.
2: Message from your next door neighbor that he's stuck in Morocco and needs you to wire him money ASAP
3: and finally there's some Nigerian prince needing your help to move a large some of money.
