HELP! Full Charge, start run, after 1:52, watch stops and shuts down

I have checked and verified that the watch has a full charge. I can start a run and begin tracking on the watch. At 1:52, it stops recording and shuts down. Any help?
Do you have an activity with data that you can upload to GC for the 1:52? If you don't then it might be that you are not starting the timer and the unit is doing an auto-shutdown. On the garmin edge devices, starting a course or workout will not keep the device on if auto shutdown is enabled. Nor will it record anything. The recording and auto-shutdown are determined by the starting/stopping of the timer. I suspect that forerunners and other garmin fitness devices work similarly.
