Can't upload Edge 500 with the new Modern Connect Screen

I have to switch to the "Classic" interface to see my Edge 500, upload, or view any of my activities. Additionally, my new VivoFit won't pair with my Edge 500. Is there a solution or is my old Edge 500 not compatible with the newer website and my VivoFit?

It is my understanding that the modern Garmin Connect isn't compatible with any device other than the VivoFit. If you want to use anything other than the VivoFit with Garmin Connect, you have to switch back to the classic Garmin Connect.

As for your VivoFit pairing to your Edge 500, I don't think that this is a valid use case. These two devices don't talk to each other.

I have the same issue. Simply cannot connect my Edge 500 with modern Garmin Connect. Not at all impressed. Strava is looking better and better as a data logger and training aid!

Lots of things have changed since 3/23/2014. You should be able to pair your Edge 500 to Garmin Express and upload activities now.

have tried as recently as yesterday. no change. even deleted new files folder as was suggested in another post.

To upload Data from my Edge (600) I use the link to the old interface http://connect.garmin.com/transfer/upload
Garmin seems to be unable to put this link to his "modern" UI...
