Internal Messages to Connect Users

It's too bad that Garmin Connect doesn't have a way for one user to write an internal message to another user. Right now, I am "connected" to a user on Garmin Connect but have no way to have further communication with this person. This could be very useful, for example, to send messages asking the person if they are interested in run together, do some intervals together, or train for a particular event. Right now, all I can do is view the person's activities and that's it; useful but I wish there were more I could do.
