Garmin Connect Group loads blank page

Hello,

I created a GC group yesterday (Cleveland Triathlon Club) and added a few members. Everything was working fine for the first part of the morning. Later in the day, each time I went to the group to add more members or view it at all, nothing shows up. I am able to get to the group page, but there is no data, almost like the page never loads fully.

I've tried this on multiple computers, using multiple browsers (Chrome and IE) and I get the same results.

This is a link to the group:
http://connect.garmin.com/group/592273

Even now, when I go to My Groups and choose that, I am taken to the page, but it is a blank page.
  • I read your post and went to our club page and noticed the same thing in both IE and Chrome. I was able to quickly find a solution for both.

For Chrome, the problem that I had was caused by a browser extension called Ghostery. You might not be using Ghostery, but you could be using other browser plugins that might cause problems. Try disabling them to see if the problem goes away. If you find one that does, you might be able to use a whitelist to prevent the extension from running on *.garmin.com. That worked for me.

For IE, I made a few changes. Press the ALT key on your keyboard, then click Tools | Internet Options | Security. On the security Tab, click Trusted Sites, then click the Sites button. Uncheck the Require server verification... option. In the Add this website... box type http://*.garmin.com and click Add. Then do the same for https://*.garmin.com. Optionally, you can re-enable the Require server verification... option. Click Close.

Further down the Internet Options dialog, you will see a Custom Level... button. Click it. Locate the option Miscellaneous | Access data sources across domains, click Enable. Locate the option Miscellaneous | Display mixed content, and click Enable. Now click OK and refresh the page.

Travis, since yesterday I am having a similar issue. My connections are not showing up on the right hand side of my dashboard, and I click on "my profile" even my page is a blank page instead of having my profile and workouts shown. Is there a problem with the website currently? Seems to be related to the "connections", I don't see anyone else's workouts and the "like" and "comments" links aren't on my activity pages anymore. Thanks! Sharon
  • I just checked, and I'm not having these problems at all. It could have been a temporary issue, but I'm not seeing it now (7:19 PDT).
