Activities filed as "Fitness Equipment" not included in the modern GConnect reports

I posted this in the vivofit forum. Then I realised it better fits here. My excuses.

Anyhow. I have just noticed that any activity that was registered as "Fitness Equipment" (ie. gym, indoor training,...) is not taken into account in the reports / graphs of the modern Garmin Connect (it is just neglected).

Most of my training is based on gym activities, so not having them invalidates any report / graph I can get from garmin connect. At least, they should be included as "Other".

I hope this can be solved. I appreciate it. Many thanks in advance, Xavier.
  • I'm having the same issue and don't understand why? Any idea?
  • I'm guessing that Garmin is trying to prevent manually entered activities from counting toward leaderboards. Cheating is one of the problems that show up once competition is added to the mix. I'm pretty sure Strava does this as well. I know that manual activities don't count toward goals on Strava, most likely for this reason.

Of course I could be wrong. This could be a bug. If it is affecting unedited activities uploaded from a Garmin device, they should count.
